It's been a while since there has been anything updated, and just in case there are random checks in on the site I thought I would be the first to wish all of you a tremendous Holiday season! We are looking forward to taking 5 days off over the Christmas holiday to be with family, and nothing beats experiencing the true spirit through the eyes of a child.
One of the fun things we did this season was freaking David (our 6yr old) out when we visited Santa earlier this month. One of our gifts to him (and oddly enough - to me as well... more on that later) were two tickets to see the Broadway production of "Peter Pan" in Philadelphia on December 9th. We wanted to tie it in to Christmas somehow so when we went to visit "Santa" on the 8th, I gave the tickets to Santa beforehand to hand deliver to David when he sat on his lap (is it a concern if the man in the Santa suit thinks you're serving him a summons... AGAIN???). Nonetheless, it worked out really well, and the Santa played it up like a champ. Marcie volunteered to go to the play with David the following day, and that was her little gift to me. Fa la la la la, la la la LAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
Hope to hear plans for next summer's camping expedition (HILAIRE!), but in the meantime I wish each of you the best for a fantastic 2008. Enjoy.

Hi Jeff,
What a great surprise for your little guy!
We went to a friends house yesterday for a small holiday party and Santa walked in the door.
Most of the kids ran and hid under the dining room table, but once it was made clear that Santa brought presents all was fine!
Santa gave Emily a "Jessie" doll (from Toy Story 2) and that just made her day. Emily was just so cute with Santa and it brought a tear to my eye. They don't tell you about this stuff in 'What to Expect When You're Expecting'.
I hope you and your family have a great Christmas. I'll be sure to light a fire under Hilaire about that big camping trip.
Happy New Year!
yeah, we will be psyched for the camping thing as long as it doesn't end up being 99% humidity with incredibly still air with no water, but an INCREDIBLY COLD shower and having MS Cramps...wait a second...I WON'T BE OUTSIDE SLEEPING!!! You guys will...I will be in the cool dry A/C!
That's what I love about you Hil', a constant barrage of positive thinking! Build up the moment to suck like nobody's business, and then be pleasantly surprised at the outcome should it "only" be 80% humidity and mild post MS naseau...lol.
This will be fun! If you hole up in the house I will sit outside the window and throw pebbles at it all night long! Don't think I won't...
Well, that comment is directed at Jenny more than you...See....we had a wonderful camping experience together with our families in Cape Cod quite a few summers back. We were in the middle of a draught and the humidity couldn't have been higher without raining, but of course we were in a draught. It was gross. I honestly don't think that could ever occur again. I don't mind having aerobeds covering the floors of my home for a weekend. I think we could all have a lot of fun actually. Big pancake breakfasts....BBQ...MARGARITAS! You could make a day trip up to N. Conway to Storyland it would probably be a little over an hr from where we are moving. The kids would love that place!
I'll bring the Pork Rinds and Moxie.

Bob...love the pic! I thought my Grandmother was the only person who drank Moxie?
I forgot to tell you....I am your Grandmother.
